NOTICE OF PUBLIC INVOLVEMENT MEETING
The Town of Payson will be assuming direct management and oversight of the Beeline Bus public transportation program on January 1st, 2023. The Beeline Bus is a public transportation program that serves the Payson, Mesa Del, and Star Valley areas. The Beeline Bus runs from 6am to 6pm, Monday through Friday, with the exclusion of major holidays. The Payson Senior Center, the current oversight organization of the Beeline Bus, will be transferring ownership rights of the Beeline Bus to the Town of Payson’s control on January 1st, 2023. The Town of Payson and the Payson Senior Center invite the public to have involvement this transition process. The Town of Payson will host a meeting at the Payson Senior Center to gather and discuss the public’s comments, questions, and concerns regarding this transition of public transportation to the Town of Payson’s control. This meeting will take place on Monday, December 19th at 4:30pm at the Payson Senior Center located at 514 West Main Street. Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held by Payson Senior Center at 514 W Main St, Payson, Az at 5 pm on February 16, 2024 for the purpose of considering a project for which financial assistance is being sought from the U.S. Department of Transportation. Grant funds will be used for the operations of the Beeline Bus public transit in the Payson, Star Valley and Mesa Del area. At the hearing, Payson Senior Center will afford an opportunity for interested persons or agencies to be heard with respect to the social, economic, and environmental aspects of the project. Interested persons may submit oral or written evidence and recommendations with respect to said project.
